The Consolation Ministry was established in 2023 to offer compassionate support to parishioners who have experienced the loss of a loved one. After being contacted by the Parish Office, ministry members guide families through the funeral-planning process and can assist with funeral home arrangements when needed. They meet with the family to help select readings for the Funeral Mass and choose readers and gift bearers. Members may also assist during the visitation and before Mass by leading the Rosary or Divine Mercy Chaplet. They are present on the day of the funeral and continue to support the family afterward. When additional support is needed, the ministry can provide information about local grief counseling and support groups available at no cost. Through prayer, compassion, and a caring presence, the Consolation Ministry accompanies families during their time of sorrow and healing.
